Reading the figures

What does "vs BTC" mean?

It's a coin's change measured in Bitcoin instead of dollars. If a coin rose 5% and Bitcoin rose 2%, the coin is about 2.9% ahead of Bitcoin. Above zero means it did better than the benchmark.

How do I switch between Bitcoin and Ether as the benchmark?

Use the tabs at the top of the Strength screen. Today, Strength and Sectors all follow the same choice.

What do the quadrant areas mean?

Across is a coin's 30-day change against the benchmark, up is its 7-day change. Leading coins are ahead on both, Fading coins are ahead over 30 days but behind this week, Turning up is the reverse, and Lagging coins are behind on both.

How are sector figures calculated?

Each sector is a basket of up to 40 of the largest coins in a CoinGecko category, weighted by market cap. Stablecoins and wrapped or staked copies of other coins are left out.

Pairs

How do I add a pair?

On the Pairs screen, tap +, choose coin A (the coin you're measuring) and coin B (the coin you price it in), then save. You can also open a pair from a coin's page or from the correlation grid and tap the bookmark.

Why do some pairs offer "Kraken" candles?

When Kraken lists one coin directly against the other (priced in BTC or ETH), you can view that market's own candles and its public order book. Other pairs use candles built from both coins' dollar prices.

Do watch levels send notifications?

No. Levels are drawn on the chart and checked against the current ratio when you open the app.

Troubleshooting

Prices didn't load

Check your connection and pull down to refresh. If the data provider is busy, wait a moment and try again. The app shows the most recent saved prices when a refresh doesn't go through.

Does Pairvane place orders?

No. Pairvane shows market data for reference only. It doesn't place orders, connect to accounts or hold funds.
